5 }  Mulholland Brothers Market Gallery & Gift Shop
Art & Gift Gallery

The Mulholland Bros. Market Gallery & Gift Shop features rotating exhibits of regional painters, sculptors and photographers during July and August. The market operated as a dry goods store during the 19th and 20th centuries. It is part of an historical preservation society's efforts to refurbish a waterfront property, which was the last operating herring smoking operation in the U.S. The properties symbolize downeastMaine's fishing heritage and are listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Interpretive exhibits and demonstrations in the skinning and packing sheds of the smokehouse are also available.
