SJDA - Sir James Dunn Academy
EVERYBODY BELONGS IN SCHOOL MURALS
Geoff, in his position as school intervention worker - worked with youth at Sir James Dunn Academy to design and paint three murals in the school gymnasium. The murals at the highschool highlight and celebrate the varied interests of all the students who currently attend, and will in future attend, Sir James Dunn Academy. There are three murals – each with a size of 18’ x 30’. The kids were instrumental in choosing the elements and design of each of the murals. The overall connecting theme is Everybody Belongs in School. The individual themes are: Arts (painted in shades of red, blue and purple) Academics (painted in shades of yellow, blue and green) Athletics (painted in shades of red, yellow and orange)
Geoff helped students create several murals around the school.
Geoff, Jan and Andrea volunteered to help the students of Sir James Dunn Academy create sets for their theatre productions.
CAREER DAY - COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS

CO-OP STUDENTS and ART PORTFOLIOS
Through the years, we have given students an opportunity to work with us, while earning high school credits for their time. We have also mentored countless students and helped others prepare art porfolios for post secondary learning.
ROCK N RIDE
For two years, Geoff worked with SJDA teacher Shawn Coreyas a community facilitator on a student led project called Rock N Ride - an 8 hour stationary bike marathon, rock concert, art exhibition and silent auction and CD launch with proceeds going to AIDS relief in Malawi. In addition to helping students organize the event, he assisted in the construction of the stage, creation of art panels and paintings, gathering of bikes, setting up on event day and more.
